I can provide telehealth services in states with currently enacted PSYPACT legislation which include: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia (DC), Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming. South Dakota and Vermont both have enacted PSYPACT legislation that will go into effect in July of 2024. More information on PSYPACT can be found here
Insurance/Reimbursement:
Services may be covered in full, or in part, by your health insurance or employee benefit plan.
I am a participating in-network provider in the following networks:
Out of Network Coverage
If you have a different insurance company (e.g., Optum, MHN, United, ect.) you may still have out of network coverage. Oftentimes, your insurance plan will cover 60%-80% of your healthcare bills if you have what is called an "out of network benefit". However, not all insurance plans have this benefit, so please check your plan to understand what will be covered. Calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card and asking specifically if you have an "out of network benefit for outpatient mental health care" is encouraged. Ask if your plan has an additional deductible, if there are session limits, or if there are additional requirements for you to use these benefits.
If you are seeking reimbursement from your insurance company for our sessions using an out of network benefit, I will provide you a document called a "superbill" which you will be able to use to submit a claim for reimbursement to your insurance company. This can usually be done online through their website. You can call the member services number on the back of your card for assistance on submitting out of network claims. If you are planning on using an out of network benefit, I will do my best to support you in getting reimbursed by providing you with any documentation you may need. I cannot however be held responsible for the reimbursement policies of your insurance plan.
